"June 2024 - This was the best house we have stayed at in topsail, very cozy and comfortable with plenty of seating. The screened in porch was the best part for us so we could enjoy the ocean more without having to be in the sun. The ice cream maker was a great bonus we used several times."

"Our family had a wonderful week in Surf City! Although we may have spent more time with our “feet up” on the porch than with our “heels in the sand” because it was the best spot on the beach! The house has a great location south of town where the beach is a little less busy. Great communication with the property manager and a seamless check-in process. We paid extra for linens and that was well worth it compared to lugging them all to the beach. They were organized specifically for the beds in the house. Once distributed our kids could make their beds easily. The beach decor is lovely and comfortable. The open layout of the house was great for our family of 8 to gather, play games and dine. Ping pong tournaments in the garage were a hit. We cooked at the house all nights but one (we love trivia night at Beach Bums). The charcoal grill is a little old but it worked out fine."

This house was perfect. I loved the screened on porch looking out over the ocean, and being able to step off our steps and right into the sand. The house was very clean. Plenty of room for everyone.

Perfect Beach Trip

This home literally had everything we needed and the screened in porch was such an incredible bonus to cuddle up and enjoy the rain too. Lots of room for all of us on the top level, we used the lower level room and living room as over flow if someone just needed a little peace and quiet from the group. Home fit our multigenerational group from grandparents to kids aged 2-10 - all had an incredible stay. We’ve stayed in many vacation rentals in surf city and topsail and this was definitely our favorite so far. Wish we could have stayed longer; Can’t wait to come back!

Time Slow Down

"Heels in the Sand is a charming beachfront retreat! The beach house decor is a mix of comfy, casual with pops of color and coastal accessories. The kitchen was stocked with all we needed. The atmosphere outside is just as great as the inside. Our favorite spot was the back screened porch where we watched sunsets and sunrises, as well as the kids frolic on the beach. The house was just perfect size for 4 adults, 2 teens, and 2 toddlers. A quick trip to explore the beach town was an absolute favorite for the teens, especially the taco eatery, Shaka Taco, which was a must! "

"We love this property. The home is so comfortable and welcoming. The layout is conducive to gathering and spending time together yet has plenty of space to retreat for individual quiet time. We've stayed several times and rarely ventured out because the home is such a wonderful gathering place for meals together, games or remote work when needed. The large screened in porch is heaven on earth. This home spreads joy and fosters love. "

"We’ve stayed at Heels in the Sand multiple times. The location could not be more perfect! You walk right out your door onto the beach and never have to think twice about going back in for that thing you left. Going in and out of the house is perfect and so convenient. When we stayed there with our young son, it was easy to bring him in and out for naps, diaper changes, snacks, all the things! And when you’re done with the sun, the screened in porch is something dreams are made of! From your first cup of coffee with the sun rising, to cocktails as the sun sets, the extensive covered area is a dream. The home itself is so cozy and has all the games you can imagine. Can’t wait to get back and have my Heels in the Sand!!"
